2. My Target Audience
I believe the target audience of our movie Tarot would be between the ages of 16-50 with the majority of the audience being
male fans and be a big fan of cop/detective genre and watch a lot of it in movies and TV I.e. True Detective, Se7en, Point
Break, Luther, Dirty Harry or Silence of the lambs. I think part of the target audience will also include some different fans of
other genres for example fans of the Horror genre may like it because it’s about a serial killer who is hunting his victims by
using tarot cards to choose them or fans of Action/Adventure may enjoy the movie because often a lot of detective movies
have an action adventure element in them. I also think the target audience would also be a fan of violent films, which
works for a serial killer movie as it does involve some killing during the film. Examples of my target audience include:
Michael Lauren Charlie
3. Michael
• 25 years old, Studied at Limmyborough School before going
to Radford University to study Media
• Big fan of Dirty Harry Movies as well as psychological thrillers
• Wants to become a big time director in films, but enjoys
making many short films for his friends and family
• Has been dating Lauren for 3 years and plans on proposing
• His favourite film is Se7en and has seen it over 15 times
• Works in a small editing company which help edit B-Movies
and some TV Shows, but wants to edit bigger and better
movies.
4. Lauren
• 24 years old, Studied at Radford University, where
she met Michael through one of her friends, they
have been dating since.
• Has only started getting into cop films and thrillers
recently, her favourite one so far is ‘Die Hard’.
• Has been working in a clothing store for 2 years,
wants to open up her own store one day
• Helped Michael when filming in his short films, her
favourite characters to play are the ‘femme fatale’
characters
• Though she has a new found favourite for the ‘cop’
genre, her guilty pleasures are still Romantic
Comedies
5. Charlie
• 25 years old, Studied at UN Owen Boarding School
• Met Michael in Radford University, became best friends
• Has been the ‘star’ of some of Michaels small movie projects,
his favourite being Det. John Johnnes
• Hates Michaels Girlfriend, though he hasn’t admitted it.
• Massive Film and TV buff, loves to watch detective shows and
films as well as mystery films, one of the things him and
Michael bonded over when they met.
• His Favourite movie is ‘Chinatown’, second favourite is ‘Hot
Fuzz’
• Now works in a DVD store, however is trying to get a job in the
BBC as an cameraman
