How do you thrive in this fast arriving future? The one thing everyone agrees on is that change is accelerating and more and more being agile and proactive is simply not enough.

What if there is a better way? MACPA and BLI found one answer when we met Daniel Burrus, futurist, technologist and business guru. Dan researched what the number one skill (competency) needed for businesses in the foreseeable future. That skill is the ability to ANTICIPATE and it can be taught. Dan has developed a program to help us all become preactive, the ability to anticipate and solve problems before they happen. To become opportunity managers and leave behind the constant pressures of crisis management.

We at our Business Learning Institute think he is onto something. Then we asked, can we take a profession based on history, looking out the rear view mirror and make it also future-focused? Can we teach CPAs, CFOs, finance and accounting professionals how to anticipate?

On November 4th, business guru, tech-futurist, and bestselling author of Flash Foresight came to Maryland to work with the Business Leanring Institute, the learning and innovation lab of the Maryland Association of CPAs to help anticpate better the fast coming future...
