This is the broken-perched carriage Community Learning Group of a sacred healer in the pre-Christian mythology (“táltos” in Hungarian) called Göncöl, who carried the reme- dies for all human woe in his carriage and helped peoples. The word Göncöl means caring and carrying both. Göncöl Foundation is a Hungarian conservation, environmental and cultural organisation, independent of any political or commercial interest. It was founded to preserve and engender nature, social and human values. There is an unresolved, growing, internal conflict in environmental policies between conservation efforts and increasing demand for exploitation of natural resources, and more there are growing number of stakeholders and type of rights and permits given to use land and resources. Regional Studies Institute is seated in Vác, the main work area is the central part of North Hungary and South Slovakia. It has an “onion-skin” structure: core research team, contracted scientists and network of students.
