Think Young advocacy for young people in Kosovo. The project will run through all 2010, one internship at our Brussels' office will be offered to the young Kosovarian winner of an essay competition.

Project description and aims 5 Feb 2010 What do young people in Kosovo hope for their future? <ul><li>The 1st aim is to make young Europeans aware of the current situation of their peers who live in Kosovo </li></ul><ul><li>The 2nd aim is to lobby European Institutions in order to obtain easier access for young people from Kosovo to study/work in Europe. </li></ul><ul><li>The 3rd aim is to offer a young Kosovar a five month remunerated internship in our new office in Brussels </li></ul>
  3. 3. Timeline and core actions description <ul><ul><li>“ Essay Competition” THY will collect theses, papers and essays written by young Kosovars. These papers will be promoted in the Brussels community through conferences and our website </li></ul></ul>5 Feb 2010 FEB - APR FEB - MAY MAY <ul><ul><li>Documentary film THY will send two young European documentary film makers and photographers to Kosovo. Fields of expertise: Microelectronics, Optoelectronics, Lasers, Optical communications; Computational linguistics, Corpus linguistics, Lexicography and Terminography; Curriculum development, E-learning, Communication skills . </li></ul><ul><li>Ardian Harri PhD Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS.
Wide field of Research Projects, among others: Relations among corn and oil prices and exchange rates, the effects of supra-national governing structures and bribery negotiation on corruption. Current teaching subjects: Econometric analysis in agricultural economics, Agribusiness risk management, Experimental and survey data analysis. </li></ul><ul><li>Gjejlane Hoxha (Belegu) Architect and expert in the field of the conservation of the architectural and constructional heritage for the last 24 years. She has worked at the Kosovo Institute for the Protection of Monuments in Prishtina, later as Founder and Director of the Division of Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosovo. Since January 2010 she is Executive Director of the Kosovo Council for Cultural Heritage in Prishtina, an organ created by the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo. She is also Board Member of the Association of Architects of Kosovo.
 </li></ul><ul><li>Uk Lushi Investor and investment manager in the USA. He finished his university studies in economics and mathematics at Columbia University in New York. He publishes articles on economic and financial topics in several journals in New York, Prishtina, Tirana and Shkup.
 </li></ul><ul><li>Dritan Mezini CEO of DM Consulting Services. Active member of numerous professional associations such as Project Management Institute, USA and Albanian Information Technology Association (AITA). He also holds the position of Board Chairman of AITA. His field of expertise includes:
- IT management, strategy, vision, project management, human resources & business processes analysis 
- Communication, Public administration & e-Government services
- Training, needs assessment, management, leadership, analytical, & research skills.

Our Partners 5 Feb 2010 UNI Group is the first Junior Enterprise created in Prishtina (Kosovo) (2006) and is also the first result of a project of the Austrian Junior Enterprise “know&how”, whose aim is to build a network of Junior Enterprises in South Eastern Europe. Its mission is to foster entrepreneurship among young people in Kosovo Operative Partners on the field Graffito film is an independent film production house based in Milan and Shanghai, providing award winning short and mid length movies, and creating documentaries since 2007 Institute Alb-Shkenca is a non-profit, scientific organization that has its roots in the online forum bearing the same name, founded in October 2002. The Institute is a volunteer-based initiative of Albanian Diaspora scholars from different fields, educated and trained abroad, who joined their efforts with their colleagues living in Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo to contribute towards the social and economic progress of their society. Knowledge Partners The Kosovar Stability Initiative (IKS) is an independent, not-for-profit think tank focusing on empirical research and analysis of socio-economic developments in Kosovo, founded in 2004. IKS offers innovative and policy-relevant research with the aim of initiating debates on issues of importance for Kosovo's future. The Youth Resource HUB Center aims to contribute to the direction of youth energy, in particular for students, in the constructive involvement of youth development and decision making processes. Through numerous activities it offers students training and resources to support their initiatives and projects. Planned beneficiaries are to be at least 3 000 students of the University of Pristina.
