  1. 1. Generic Xenical Capsules Generic Xenical (Orlimac Capsules) is used for obesity management including weight loss and weight maintenance when used along with with a reduced calorie diet. Generic Xenical (Orlimac Capsules) is also indicated to reduce the risk for weight regain after prior weight loss. Generic Xenical Capsules Recommended Dosage The recommended dose of Generic Xenical is one 120 mg capsule three times a day with each main meal containing fat (during or up to 1 hour after the meal). The patient should be on a nutritionally balanced, reduced-calorie diet that contains approximately 30% of calories from fat. The daily intake of fat, carbohydrate, and protein should be distributed over three main meals. Generic Xenical Capsules Side Effects of Generic Xenical The most common side effects are Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms like Oily Spotting, Flatus with Discharge, Fecal Urgency, Fatty/Oily Stool, Oily Evacuation, Increased Defecation and Fecal Incontinence. © The Swiss Pharmacy, Geneva Switzerland
  7. 7. Generic Xenical Capsules Warnings And Precautions ➔Concomitant Drug and Vitamin Use: Generic Xenical and cyclosporine should not be simultaneously coadministered. In order reduce the chance of a drug-drug interaction, cyclosporine should be taken at least 3 hours before or after Generic Xenical in patients taking both drugs. In addition, in those patients whose cyclosporine levels are being measured, more frequent monitoring should be considered. ➔Liver Injury: There have been rare postmarketing reports of severe liver injury with hepatocellular necrosis or acute hepatic failure in patients treated with Generic Xenical, with some of these cases resulting in liver transplant or death. Patients should be advised to report any symptoms of hepatic dysfunction (anorexia, pruritus, jaundice, dark urine, light-colored stools, or right upper quadrant pain) while taking Generic Xenical. © The Swiss Pharmacy, Geneva Switzerland
  8. 8. Generic Xenical Capsules Warnings And Precautions ➔Increases in Urinary Oxalate: Some patients may develop increased levels of urinary oxalate following treatment with Generic Xenical.   10. 10. Generic Xenical Capsules Overdose Treatment In case a significant overdose of Generic Xenical (Orlimac Capsules) occurs, it is recommended that the patient be observed for 24 hours.
