  6. 6. You could wish for peace so that you could have peace with yourself and those who are against you, but then find ‘that the Lord is your peace’ and that ‘he has already given you his peace’ John 14:27
  7. 7. You could wish for faith so that you could move mountains in the lives of others as well as your own life, then discover that ‘the life you now live you live by the faith of Jesus Christ’ Galatians 2:20
  8. 8. You could wish for righteousness and holiness so that you could live right before God but then see that ‘you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus’ 2 Corinthians 5:21 and that Holiness is an ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.

  21. 21. You could wish for freedom to live a God honouring life and then find that ‘he that the Son sets free is free indeed’ John 8:36

  27. 27. You could wish for a lasting inheritance only to find that ‘you are born again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an incorruptible, undefiled inheritance that fades not away and that is reserved in heaven for you’ 1 Peter 1:3-4
  28. 28. You could wish for holiness for without holiness no man can see God but then find that, ‘you are a partaker of Gods holiness’ Hebrews 12:10 and ‘have his divine nature’ 2 Peter 1:4
  29. 29. You could wish to be perfect before God and man and then find that ‘you are perfected forever by one offering’ Hebrews 10:14 ‘one offering for sin once for all’ Hebrews 10:10 and that ‘you are going on to perfection’ Hebrews 6:1
  30. 30. You could wish to live a fear less life before God and then find that, ‘His perfect love cast out all fear and that fear is made perfect in love’ 1 John 4:18
  31. 31. There really is nothing left to wish for; the Lord in his grace has already given you ‘every good and perfect gift’ James 1:17
  32. 32. So today why not choose to stop wishing and start believing and give thanks to the Lord who made wishes redundant when he gave his life to purchase everything good thing for you.
