The town of Almora is situated over a horse saddle shaped ridge of a mountain.• The eastern portion of the ridge is known as Talifat and the western one is known as Selifat. Themarket is at the top of the ridge where these two, Talifat and Selifat jointly terminate.• The best season to visit is from March to June and September to November and the temperature is4.4ºC to 29.4ºC.• The main attractions are Lakhuudiyar, Phulseema and Pharkanauli.

The lushgreen boulevard of the hill station is the key epicenter for the popular Sui Mata and Minjar festivals.• The Hill Station is cool to warm in summers, whereas, it is cold in winters.
