  1. 1. Sheffler Update file:///C|/Users/Cheryl/Documents/Slide%20Share%20Documents/Sheffler%20Update.htm[3/12/2014 10:38:58 AM] March 2014 Ivory Coast Christian Mission Equipping Leaders to Train More Leaders Bob & Connie Sheffler sponsors of Christian Leadership Training Institute Grassroots Leadership Development and Dear Friends and Supporters This is a short update. I only have news on Haiti and Ghana. HAITI All looks good for me to leave on March 22 for Haiti and return April 1. I will hold a four-day training for Group Leaders (teachers) of a pilot project. We will organize about six leadership development classes for them to teach. I will also meet with the ad-hoc committee that is working on policies, etc. for the training program. If all goes well, I will return in July or August to see how the pilot classes did and take the training program to the next level. I will meet for two days with leaders of two associations of churches in the Fond-du-Blanc area to tell them about the three-step method and invite them to become a part of the leadership development program. For more information about the three-step method, go to my website at Subscribe Share Past Issues RSSTranslate

These young men were taught by those I taught in August. Last August I took some of the Haitian leaders through the first week of lessons from the Christian Marriage course. They have taught others what they learned in August. This is what we want to see. The Apostle Paul advised Timothy, "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. " 2 Timothy 2:2 GHANA

Sheffler Update file:///C|/Users/Cheryl/Documents/Slide%20Share%20Documents/Sheffler%20Update.htm[3/12/2014 10:38:58 AM] Leaders from the Saboba area who attended the leadership development seminar. Stephen Ofori and Eric Afful just returned from Northern Ghana where they held leadership development seminars in three regions, Saboba, Garu/Tempane and Overseas. Discussions and planning sessions were used to help the churches develop leadership and use their resources in hand to build the Lord's Kingdom. One region is nicknamed Overseas because it is very flat, floods easily in the rainy season and becomes like a sea. Some areas have to use boats to go from village to village during the heavy rains. TRACTOR PROJECT We still need $4,000 to complete the project. The farming season starts in April. PRAISE AND PRAYER REQUESTS 1. Thank God for the successful leadership development seminars in Saboba, Garu/Tempane and
