  • Environmental Health Association (Australia) National Conference  Keynote AddressFriday 15th October 2010 Presenter: Anne Banks-McAllister Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Peppermint Grove Topic: A Great Place to Grow: Leading, Learning and Living ABSTRACTWhen taking up her first role as Chief Executive Officer at the Shire of Peppermint Grove, Anne also took on the role of Project Coordinator for the construction of a new $18.5m building on behalf of three local governments. The Grove Precinct includes a new library, community centre and Shire offices and was opened in August this year. Anne will talk about the thrill (and challenges) of being involved in a major construction project, in particular the first public building in Perth to incorporate innovative environmentally sustainable design (ESD) features.
