Digipaks are 6-panel cases that hold CD albums and sometimes include extras like lyric books or DVDs. They became popular in 2000 as a way for artists to release special or limited edition singles and albums. Music magazines are another good way to promote artists by alerting fans to new releases and encouraging them to purchase the music physically or online. Jack's Mannequin's limited edition "The Glass Passenger" digipak contains two discs, with the second being a short film, photo gallery and interview reflecting on the lead singer's battle with leukemia.

1. Digipak Digipaks are an ideal way to
promote artists they are usually a
6 panel case that holds the CD
album and at times they have
extras such as a lyric book, DVD
and sessions that have been
acoustic or from the studio. The
digipak came about in the year
2000 and has been popular when
artists have wanted to release
special/limited edition singles and
albums.
2. Magazine Another good way to
promote an artist is by
advertising through music
magazines to alert fans
when new albums or
singles are out. It is a way
of communicating to an
audience to make them
want to purchase the
product, be it a single or an
album in physically matter
or online.

Consists of:

Disc 1 – 14 tracks
Disc 2 – Short film,
photo gallery and
interview.
4. • Jack’s Mannequins album is a reflection on the lead
singers feelings of how he battled leukaemia and
survived. The first song is titled “crashing” and the lyric
“the world came crashing down on me” reflect how he
felt at the time. The album is also important because not
many thought he would be alive to produce this second
album after the previous successful “Everything in
transit”. Andrew is the heart and soul of the band and
even though this second album was not as catchy it
emphasises his struggle to survive and the lyrics convey
that. The outside cover is of the lead singer and pianist
Andrew, as the focus is usually on him. It shows him in a
room with only his piano, this shows his dedication to his
music and that he is the main song writer. The album
title “The Glass passenger” also reflects that he felt he
felt weak during his illness and he was fragile, also
people could see through him.
