  • As a parent it is quite difficult and challenging to teach your child to be the 'better person' when your first instinct is to protect your child from harm physical, verbal and otherwise. As a mom I've encouraged my child to be the better person, stay away, ignore, tell them to stop and pretty much all the advice out there on how to handle bullies without retaliating but to no avail. Luckily,i was scanning through a few blogs and found this article on a Safety Service for my children. Check out this article: www.RelentlessProtection.com

  8. 8. IMPACT “We have already begun to see changes in our students. One student went up to another right after the movie to apologize for the way she had treated the other student in the past. Another student admitted to a teacher that he realized he has sometimes shown bully-like behavior. We’ve also seen a higher awareness of bullying behavior. If a student is teasing someone, either the student being teased or another student is much more likely to speak up and point out that behavior as bullying. As a teacher, I try to make my classroom a safe, bully-free environment, but the movie has pushed me to think about this even more and try to improve how I handle conflict between students. The movie has not solved all of our problems, but seeing it has really helped us and our students make changes that we know will last well into the future.” - 1 Million Kid Teacher Participant I am 11 years old. My whole 6th grade class saw the Bully movie and dedicated a whole day to discussing it. I saw the movie 3 days before the field trip and found it so touching I cried almost the whole time. I have been bullied before and I know how it fells. I have been called gay, fat, ugly etc. I used to get really upset about it but now I move on and say “I DON’T care what they think. I care what I think!” You are so brave to be a part of the Bully movie! I applaud you for being such a brave person you are what the world needs more of. At my school’s discussions you were by far the most talked about person your story has inspired so many kids at my school and I feel that bullying has decreased at my school, it’s still there but less of it. You change people. KEEP ON FIGHTING YOU WILL WIN AND YOU ALREADY HAVE BEAT SO MANY PEOPLE. YOU ROCK!!! GO KELBY GO!!! P.S. - You have helped me mature so much as a person. P.P.S - This movie needs to be shown to all 7.6 billion members of this planet. - 1 Million Kids Student Participant
