  3. 3.  How big of an issue is texting and driving?  What are some causes of distracted driving?  What can be done to solve this problem?
  4. 4.  Drivers who use handheld devices are 4x more likely to cause and accident  In 2011, 3,331 people were killed as a result of a distracted driver.  5 seconds is the average time your eyes are off of the road at one time.
  5. 5.  Young and inexperienced drivers are at highest risk for causing an accident due to distracted driving  77% of young drivers feel that they can safely text and drive.
  6. 6.  Multiple distractions such as :  Children  Employment  Traffic
  7. 7.  Word of mouth  Lead by example  SPEAK UP!
