  2. 2. Sixth Biennial Weekend Pediatric Radiation Oncology Course Paediatric Cancers comprise only approximately 2% of cancer overall. The care of these patients tends to be concentrated to a limited number of specialist centers throughout Australia and New Zealand resulting in a limited exposure to paediatric radiation oncology and paediatric medical oncology practices. This course is designed to give registrars and fellows from these disciplines a broad view of current trends in paediatric oncology with a particular emphasis on paediatric radiation oncology. The course is designed to cover the key syllabus for paediatric radiation oncology in Australia and New Zealand. The course will be a combination of didactic lectures, interactive small group sessions and case discussions addressing controversial areas. All registrants will be expected to have passed the first part of the Radiation Oncology Fellowship or be currently undertaking a Senior Registrar or Fellowship position in related disciplines. The course will be most beneficial for those registrants who have completed some background reading on Paediatric Radiation Oncology. The course will commence at 12.00 pm on Friday 18th May and will finish at 1pm on Sunday 20th May. The venue for the course will be The Naval and Military Club, 27 Little Collins Street, Melbourne. *See attached map. Attendees must organize their own accommodation.
