APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CALLED FOR: Travel Grants for Oncology Nurses Group members to attend the 32nd Annual Oncology Nurses Group Conference Thursday, October 8, 2009 and Friday, October 9, 2009 Hilton Brisbane Guidelines and Conditions for Application Each year Cancer Council Queensland provides a travel grant for a member of each of the 13 regional Oncology Nurses Groups to attend the Oncology Nurses Group Conference. The Travel Grant includes: (a) Return economy travel (b) Accommodation allowance of $150 for regional grant recipients (c) Registration for the Oncology Nurses Group Conference Further Information: (a) Applications open Monday, March 30, 2009. (b) Application should be made on the approved application form and forwarded to the secretary of your local Oncology Nurses Group no later than 5pm Monday, July 13, 2009. For details of your local Oncology Nurses Group, see the back page of this application form. (c) Applicants must be a financial member of the Oncology Nurses Group. For a membership form, visit the website www.cancerqld.org.au/ONG or contact the Oncology Nurses Group Ph: 3258 2267 Email: ong@cancerqld.org.au (d) Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee against the provided assessment criteria. (e) Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified by their regional Oncology Nurses Group by mail or email. (f) Successful applicants must present a report, in writing to the secretary of their regional Oncology Nurses Group within six (6) weeks of return from the conference. Report writing guidelines will be provided. (g) Successful applicants will be forwarded travel, accommodation and conference registration information by Lucy Bailey, Acting Conference Secretary. Note: Travel bookings and conference registration will be arranged by Cancer Council Queensland Brisbane office. Successful applicants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. Conference accommodation information will be provided with the conference registration form.
