<ul><li>The town is a popular tourist destination owing to its status as birthplace of the playwright and poet William Shakespeare, receiving about three million visitors a year from all over the world. </li></ul>
<ul><li>Shakespeare was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon. At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, who bore him three children: Susanna, and twins Hamnet and Judith. Between 1585 and 1592, he began a successful career in London and appears to have retired to Stratford around 1613, where he died three years later. </li></ul>
<ul><li>This is the house where Shakespeare was born. It was rebuilt in the 19 th century, but it seems original because inside we could see how was a house at that time. </li></ul>
<ul><li>This house was the Shakespeare's son-in-law. It was really interesting because he was a famous doctor and there were a lot of instrumental and his diary where he wrote some footnotes. This house was his own surgery. </li></ul>
It was the house that Shakespeare bought when he came back from London and it was demolished when his granddaughter died. It’s very big and lovely, with an enormous garden.
In Holy Trinity Church was buried Shakespeare. The church is very beautiful and amazing.
