  6. 7. Materials used in construction: <ul><li>Petreous materials: materials that are made of stone. Types:
  7. 8. >Compact stones:blocks oflimestone, granite, marble...
  8. 9. >Disgragated stones: fragments of stones such as arids and clays. There are two types: fine and coarse. </li></ul>
  9. 10. >Petreous materials:
  10. 11. Materials used in construction: <ul><li>Biender materials: materials that mixed with water become pasty and when they solidificate they acquire stiffness.
  11. 12. >Lime: it comes from limestone.
  12. 13. >Gypsum: with water, it is used to cover walls and roofs.
  13. 14. >Cement: it is the most used biender material. </li></ul>
  14. 15. >Biender Materials:
  15. 16. Materials used in construction: <ul><li>Concrete: it is a mixture of arids, bienders and water.
  16. 17. >Mass: formed by water, cement and sand.
  17. 18. >Cyclopean: formed by cement, water and very big arids.
  18. 19. >Cellular: it has bubbles inside, so that they are lightier and better termic insulator.
  19. 20. >Reinforced: it has bars of steel inside, so that they are stronger. </li></ul>

  21. 22. Materials used in construction: <ul><li>Ceramic materials: they are pieces of clay baked in ovens.

  25. 26. >Porcelain: it is used for bathroom's sanitaries.

  41. 42. Placement of the elements that hold up the building. They are made of mass and reinforced concrete. There are three types: zapatas, pilotes and losas. By excavators and cranes. </li></ul>

  43. 44. The pillars and the forges are constructed. Pillars are made of reinforced concrete. The forges are made of beams and vaults. Machinery: cranes. </li></ul>

  45. 46. It is the placement of the roof of the building. It depends on the climate of each place. It has insulations. There are 2 types:
  46. 47. mixed roof tile and arabic roof tile. </li></ul>

  48. 49. It consists of the exteriorm wall of the building. It is made of bricks and a termic and acoustic insulators, called polyurethane

  50. 51. Construcion of buildings: <ul><li>6.- Flooring and cloison:
  51. 52. -Cloison is to separe the rooms. The walls are not as thick as in cladding. Itis made of bricks and plasterboard.
  52. 53. -Flooring is the floor of the different rooms. Types of flooring:
  53. 54. -terrazzo, marble, wood, granite, stone, synthetic, laminated and sandstones. </li></ul>

  57. 58. -exterior: marble facings, peinture, mortars..
  58. 59. -interior: peinture, limestone, furniture...

  60. 61. -plumbing, heating, electrical, air conditioning, alarms and intercorms, tv, radio, telephone, internet and others. </li></ul>
