  2. 2. Superhero movie is always attractive and fascinating on account of these movies have a goodness of fit for people from all walks of life. Well, as the saying goes, “ In our increasingly secular society, with so many disparate gods and different faiths, superhero films represents a unique canvas upon which our shared hopes, dreams and apocalyptic nightmares can be projected and played out.” , which was quoted by Tom Hiddleston who is one of the actor that was cast in the superhero film The Avengers. However, I will do a simple compare and contrast of two popular movies, The Incredibles which is a Pixar production and The Avengers which is a Marvel production. Both of these movies are considered as action- packed films. Nevertheless, there are few notable points which are discussable and they are teamwork, importance of justice and perseverance. First and foremost, the moral values which can be highlighted from both of these movies, The Incredibles and The Avengers and that is teamwork spirit. Firstly let us take a look at the Incredibles family which further illustrates the main point. The family members each has their own different opinions and often quarrel among each other, especially those kids who just can’t seem to click with each other, however, they still form a family dynamic in order to work together and overcome tough obstacles. On top of that, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible showed their children that it is the upmost important for families to stick together, no matter what is threatening them. To further exemplify this issue, superheroes in The Avengers are always working toward the same goal instead of letting others tear them apart. Initially, they could not click among each other but soon they realized they need to collaborate and compromise with each other in order to accomplish their mission. Despite the differences of opinion, these branded superheroes and bond together to save each other and their town or even the country. Simply put, both movies have reflected how imperative teamwork is in daily life. It may be said that without fear of contradiction that the essentialist of justice is enlightened through these two films. There is a popular quotation from Martin Luther King,” Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Undeniably, the message to always stick to justice to make a better world is conveyed through the storylines in both movies. The Incredibles family always stick together to fight injustice and make it as their obligations. As a matter of fact, these animated films are considered as good instances for portraying mature themes about justice in a way that both kids and adults can enjoy. Aside from that, the superheroes in The Avengers had put their best foot forward to face and combat their own quirks and frailties in order to eradicate injustice. All of them have their roles to act as peacekeepers who will take extreme measures to restore peace. They are created with different specialties and powers which can be united as one to ensure justice will not sleep forever. It is truly that the importance of justice can be ingrained and deep-rooted in one’s mindset. Facts speak for themselves and it is true to insist and emphasize that perseverance is pretty useful and can be said as a basic ingredient to pursue a goal. Of course, The Incredibles and The Avengers had taught us not to give up easily even though we are facing some hard times. “Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.” This is a famous quote indicated by Marie
  3. 3. Curie. It is fairly obvious that those superhero children are still very immature on account of their ages but however, they learnt from their mistakes and always persevere although they were actually facing through a lot of trials and tribulations. It is very natural and normal if a kid at this age would give up easily as their mentality growth are still in the middle of processing. Of course, their parents had given them a pat on their back and always give them word of encouragement to them so that they can continue to stand firm on their feet and do not give up what they are heading to. Apart from that, Ironman who is pretty selfish had also tried to compromise with the stubborn Hulk so that they can achieve their target. They have courage to overcome their past or wrong but not choosing the path of giving up in the middle of the way. Simply put, these superheroes have reflected the importance of perseverance. Last but not emphatically least, there are always some negative characters in most superheroes movies. Obviously, Bomb Voyage was the bad character in The Incredibles. I believe that every audience remembers the scene when Bomb Voyage broke through the brick walls after stealing a lot of money. Nonetheless, Bomb Voyage had also revealed another side of him when he decided to save people in a tight situation instead of thinking for his own benefit. Besides, the bad guys who appeared The Avengers are Loki whose brother is Thor and Loki’s Army, the Chitauri. The Chitauri are warrior basis which are the hybrid of organic beings and machines. Loki was a tricky and smart man who was master in magic. He is very possessive and kind of envious. However, facts speak for themselves that there are always some funny scenes in both movies. By and large, there is always a cure for another. The presence of these bad guys had well reflected the importance of moral values which could be found in those superheroes. At the end of the day, there are various things that we are able to learn through these movies. It is not doubtful that there are many violence issues and unbearable scenes such as killing and bloody scenes contained in both movies but there are still great movies which are educational and feeding. In fact, superheroes do not exist in our reality life but we can learn from their examples. By and large, The Avengers and The Incredibles are movies that are worthy to spend your time and enjoy it. Undeniably, there are plenty of good movies which are also educational and enjoyable. Of course, we should not just watch it but we also have to acknowledge the messages that are contained and pass them on in those movies and this is what we call enjoying a show.
