  1. 2. Practice Tests <ul><li>One of the most proven strategies , yet least used way to study for a test is to make a practice test </li></ul><ul><ul><li>When making a practice test, you have the opportunity to check to see how much you know and what you will have to study still </li></ul></ul>

Practice Tests <ul><li>Practice tests have many benefits </li></ul><ul><ul><li>They help one to anticipate what the test may look like, reducing anxiety and stress </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>They check what you as a student know </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>By writing out practice questions allows you to better understand the material and repeated review it </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>By practicing, it improves you confidence and positive attitude </li></ul></ul>
  3. 4. Practice Tests <ul><li>Guidelines for making practice tests </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Find out what kind of questions will there be on the test </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Look at the syllabus for clues, old tests, and even ask the teacher </li></ul></ul>

Practice Tests <ul><li>When writing practice questions you can do the following: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Turn the section headings in the book into questions </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Take sections of related pieces and write questions based on their relationships </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Take the main ideas in your notes and turn them into questions </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Ask your teacher for a couple sample questions </li></ul></ul>
