Maktoob Research Profile Launched in September 2006, Maktoob Research combines the region’s largest online consumer panel with the latest in international online research standards, to provide marketing professionals with better insights on consumer opinions, needs and expectations. Focusing primarily on the Middle East and North Africa, Maktoob Research offers a consumer panel in about 30 countries. Maktoob Research can target its panel members by demographics, such as age, gender, occupation among others, which makes it possible to target specific areas, a survey targeted at housewives for example. Key behavioural patterns are available too. Maktoob Research not only provides full project support to its clients via survey programming, translations and sampling, but also a complete research package from survey development to analysis and reporting, including consultancy.
  4. 4. Maktoob Research Profile An Online Research Portal can be made available - an online tool for real-time analysis. During an on-going research, research data will be available 24/7. Maktoob Research has developed proprietary research software that allows for building questionnaires easily and fast, even the more complex survey designs. The surveys can be personalised, integrating companies’ logo and colours. The data output can be made available in Excel, CSV, or SPSS. Maktoob Research Profile Key Management Qualifications Tamara Deprez started up Maktoob Research in May 2006 and succeeded in making it a real research product for professionals in the marketing and research industry in and outside Dubai. Before launching Maktoob Research, she spent six years working in online quantitative and qualitative research with leading international research agencies in Europe and the Middle East: at TNS NIPO in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) for 2.5 years and at Motivaction International in Amsterdam for 2.5 years. She also headed up IPSOS’ Qualitative Department in Dubai (the United Arab Emirates) for 1 year. He stayed in that position for about half a year, and went then to Dubai, where he started up their interactive research department about three years ago. Online Panel Manager, Marouane has launched one of the first fully managed panels in the Maktoob Research region and has been able to maintain high quality data collection from the online surveys conducted in the UAE and KSA.
