Creating and downloading images

  1. 1. Finding or Creating Images<br />For Use with DE Assessment<br />Item Builder<br />
  2. 2. Creating JPG files in PowerPoint<br />
  3. 3. Create what you want on a slide in PPT. You can create multiple slides if you want.<br />
  4. 4. When you save the file, change the PPT/PPTX file type to JPG, GIF, or PNG. You are done!<br />
  5. 5. Creating PNG Files from Promethean or SMART<br />Using a Screen Capture Tool<br />Such As Jing<br />
  6. 6. Find an image you want in the gallery of resource files. Drag it onto the screen and resize if necessary.<br />
  7. 7. Using Jing, outline the image and save it as a PNG file on your hard drive. You are ready to upload!<br />
  8. 8. Downloading PNG Files Captured Online<br />For Images that are Not Readily Available to Download<br />
  9. 9. Sometimes, you can create graphics at sites, but can’t download them (like this graph). Use Jing to capture and save.<br />

  11. 11. Sometimes you will find a picture file online that is exactly what you need. Right click the image and choose “save image as…”<br />

  13. 13. When downloading images from DE Streaming, usually the Medium format will work best.<br />
