Building Friendships through International Partnership“It’s so exciting to be part of the International Partnerships Group, we have lots of ideas and can’t wait to share them” – D Avram 9CThe Crest Girls’ Academy has formed an educational partnership with The KamabaiSecondary School in Sierra Leone, West Africa.Students and staff from both schools have begun communicating with each other tolearn more about our different cultures, share good practice and plan jointeducational projects. They are supported by 3 Year 9 ambassadors, who are already experiencedin hosting international visits to our academy.Activities to date have included, creating ‘the life of a London school girl’ collage, aCrest Girls’ Academy information pack, signing up to write friendship letters, writing a‘week in our academy life’ diaries and editing our forthcoming Kamabai SecondarySchool / Crest Girls’ Academy newsletter.Students will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other E-ACTacademies involved in the project, which is supported by Plan www.plan-uk.orgTo find out more about the partnership or be involved get in touch with Ms Kamala –Senior Vice Principal / International Partnerships Coordinator.
