Polar bears are large carnivorous bears that live in the Arctic. They are well adapted to life in the Arctic with thick fur, large paws for walking on ice, and a layer of fat to keep them warm. Polar bears primarily hunt seals from the edge of sea ice or from small boats called ice floes.
