House Hasson Website Use & Email Marketing

  4. 4. Store Information Edit your store’s information on this screen You can also add the link for the eCom flyers on this page. Simply paste the link that they provide you in the field at the bottom of the page and make sure to enter YES in the eCom field.

  7. 7. Specials – Step 1 This screen shows you all of the items on the current circular. You can choose weather you want to keep them on the website by selecting “Yes” or “No”. When you are done, click the “Next” button at the bottom of the page
  8. 8. Specials – Step 2 This screen shows you all of the custom items you have added. You can choose weather you want to keep them on the website by selecting “Yes” or “No”. When you are done, click the “Next” button at the bottom of the page
  9. 9. Specials – Step 3 Step 3 allows you to add custom items to the online specials. If you are adding a House Hasson item. The only fields you need to fill out, are the Item Number and the Promotional Price. You can also enter in a Promotional Description instead of a price if you would like, such as “Buy one get one free” or “Limited time only”. Click the “Add Item” button to add the item to the website.
  10. 10. Specials – Step 3 To add a non House Hasson item, you will need to give your item a number. This can be any combination of number or letters up to 12 characters, but there can’t be any spaces or symbols. Next, enter in a description, a regular retail price, and your promotional price. You can also use the promotional description here as well. Next, you will need to upload an image. Save the image to your computer and use the browse button to add it. We recommend that you set your image at 200x200 pixels. Once you are done, click the “Add Item’ button to add the item to the website. Then click “Next” to move on to the next step.
  11. 11. Specials – Step 4 The next step is to set the Teaser Items. These are items that you will use to send out promotional emails to your customers. They usually end up displaying 3 wide across the emails, so it is best to select your items in multiples of 3. Once you have selected your teaser items, click the “Update” button. Then when the page reloads, click the “Finished” button, which will take you to step 5 – Email Management
  12. 12. Email Management The Email Management system allows you to add, edit, and delete emails for use on your website. Then you will be ready to send out an email to your customers.
  13. 13. Email Management When you click on “Quick Add users to your email list”, you can quickly add an email address to your list. Just enter the email address and a Type, then click the “Add” button. The “Type” box can be used to segment your emails into specialized groups. This will be used later when you are sending emails. So, you could use the Type to create groups for contractors, painters, newsletters, etc.
  14. 14. Email Management The “Add Users” page is just like the quick add page, except that this page has fields for the contact’s name, full address, and notes. All of the fields are required on this form except for the Type and Notes. Once you have filled out all the fields, click the “Add” button.
  15. 15. Email Management On the “List Current Users” screen, you can review all the emails you have stored on the system. From here, you can edit or remove any account you wish. You can always go back and add information later if you didn’t have it when you first entered the email.
  16. 16. Sending An Email First, select if you want to send the email to all your customers, or one of your groups. Then, choose the email account you want to send it from. Next, enter the subject of the email. In this example I am sending out a newsletter When composing a newsletter, the text you enter in the message box can use HTML tags if you wish. Also if you want a new line in the message, you will need to type in <BR> as in the example above. This is a break tag and is required for a new line in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language).
  17. 17. Sending An Email When you click the “Next” button it will take you to a preview of what your email will look like so that you can review it before you send it. The email will contain the top and bottom menu’s from your website with working links so that they can click on them and it will take them to your site.
  18. 18. Sending An Email To send out the teaser items that we selected earlier. Select the To & From just like the previous example. You can leave the default information in the subject and message boxes, or change it if you wish. Next, select “Yes” for “Send Promotional Items”.
  19. 19. Sending An Email This is what the sample email will look like for the promotional items. This email still has the menu’s from the website, but it also has the image for the current circular, and the teaser items on it. There is also a large link at the bottom directing them to your specials page and a facebook link to take them to your facebook page. When you are ready to send the email, just click the “Send The Email” button at the top of the sample.
