Happy 70th Birthday Bill!<br />Here are some memories from the last 70 years……..<br />
It all began with the marriage of William and Nan…..<br />
And baby Bill arrived on Wednesday 19th March 1941……<br />The moustache came later<br />
19th March 1941<br />Winston Churchill is Prime Minister. <br />World War II is still raging. 5 days earlier 48,000 people...

Who knew my dad played rugby?<br />
We searched high and low for photos from Bill’s formative years but they must be very well hidden.<br />We can only assume...

Days were spent exploring post modernist nudes…<br />
Evenings filled with philosophy, arty types…<br />
and dressing up?????<br />
The upper lip remains hair free.<br />
Then cupid struck….<br />
A fine young filly caught Bill’s eye .….<br />and the female in the foreground <br />ain’t half bad either!<br />
Bill impressed Annabel with his skills on the dance floor…<br />
and his musical prowess.<br />
In 1965 they were wed.<br />
Bill found his vocation, sharing his passion for art.<br />
To make himself distinguishable from the pupils, Bill grew a moustache.<br />Almost 50 years later he still teaches an eve...
This picture adorned the wall of Bill’s office where he ate two slices of brown bread, a banana and a Tunnocks caramel waf...
and drank a bottle of Burgundy each evening.<br />

Two became three in 1966.<br />

And in 1976 Lynsey arrived and Adam traded Gillian in for a puppy. Finally, the family was complete. <br />

  4. 4. 19th March 1941<br />Winston Churchill is Prime Minister. <br />World War II is still raging. 5 days earlier 48,000 people had been made homeless in the Clydebank blitz. <br />Butter, sugar, eggs, bacon, jam and cheese are all rationed. <br />Glen Miller, The Andrews Sisters, Billie Holiday and Jimmie Dorsey are all in the charts.<br />The average house price is £500!!!<br />
