R equire Learner Participation <ul><li>Introduction – 1 st day </li></ul><ul><li>The teacher will show pictures on slideshare.com of different animals to captivate students interest. </li></ul><ul><li>The teacher will ask the following questions: </li></ul><ul><li>Which of these animals do we or humans eat? </li></ul><ul><li>What do each of these animals eat? </li></ul><ul><li>Which animals eat meat and which animals eat plants? </li></ul><ul><li>Which animals eat both? </li></ul><ul><li>How does a plant get its food? </li></ul><ul><li>The teacher will than explain what a producer, consumer, predator, prey, herbivore, omnivore, carnivore, decomposer, food chain and a food web is. </li></ul>

R equire Learner Participation <ul><li>1 st day </li></ul><ul><li>The students will be split into groups of four and the teacher will pass out pictures of different animals so that the students can classify the animals into their categories: producer, consumer, prey, predator, herbivore, omnivore, carnivore or decomposer. </li></ul><ul><li>Teacher will show a diagram of a food web and a food chain and will describe the difference between the two. </li></ul><ul><li>The teacher will show a video on a food web online to elaborate and build on students knowledge. </li></ul><ul><li>http://www.brainpop.com/science/ecologyandbehavior/foodchains/ </li></ul>

R equire Learner Participation <ul><li>Student activity – 3 rd day </li></ul><ul><li>With the pictures, the teacher will have them printed and will have them scanned and put into a disk for the different groups. </li></ul><ul><li>Teacher will demonstrate to the students what Prezi is and will show them how to use it. </li></ul><ul><li>Students will be given time in class to play around with Prezi. </li></ul>
