  17. 17. TIPS FOR IMPROVING THE SCORED INTERVIEWGeneral Procedures1.- Decide in advance on interview methods and rating standards. Same lenght of time to the average interview Same rate of speed Same level of difficulty in the questions they ask Same general rating standards
  18. 18. TIPS FOR IMPROVING THE SCORED INTERVIEWGeneral Procedures2.- Conduct the interviews in some quiet place with suitable acoustic. Echoes, street noises will impose an unfair environment and reduce the validity and reliability of the interview.
  19. 19. TIPS FOR IMPROVING THE SCORED INTERVIEWGeneral Procedures3.- Reserve sufficient time for each interview. Ten to fifteen minutes would seem essential for each interview.
  20. 20. TIPS FOR IMPROVING THE SCORED INTERVIEWGeneral Procedures4.- Use at least two raters for each candidate. Satisfactory rater reliability Avoid giving the candidate the impression that he is appearing before a panel of judges.
