  29. 30. Loyola Puts Safety First <ul><li>Loyola University Chicago's Lakeside Campuses have developed an environment where safety concerns are aggressively and proactively addressed. In recent years, the University has launched a number of initiatives to bolster its safety program. </li></ul><ul><li>A bicycle patrol unit, made up of trained and certified officers, has been added to improve security. </li></ul><ul><li>Residence halls have a safety monitor and/or a residence hall monitor at the front entrance or central access points. </li></ul><ul><li>Over 400 one-button emergency telephones  are located inside and outside campus buildings and throughout the campus grounds. </li></ul><ul><li>Campus Safety bulletin boards are located in high traffic areas and include the latest crime information. </li></ul><ul><li>Crime alerts are posted online immediately as the information becomes available. </li></ul><ul><li>Safety classes are available upon request by calling 8-2462. Classes include Rape Aggression Defense (RAD), Hot Spots Tours , Sexual Assault Prevention, etc. </li></ul>
  30. 31. Emergency Blue Light Phones These phones are programmed to automatically dial Campus Security when the caller presses the red button on the face of the phone. Emergency Blue Light Phones may be used to contact Campus Security for any reason, such as to call for an escort, report a suspicious person, or to report an emergency.
