Disney D23 Expo 2015 Mobile App Overview

  2. 2.       D23 EXPO is a three-day marquee event held biannually that allows The Walt DIsney Company to deepen its relationship with fans and  generate buzz for the company’s priorities.    The D23 EXPO 2015 Official Mobile App was developed to help attendees navigate all the entertainment, presentations, shopping, photo  opportunities, and magic that Disney had in store.        1
  3. 3.    Features Included:    Custom Skin  A custom design built specifically for the app that  aligned closely with the overall EXPO branding.          Discover   Ability to showcase and update curated content, which linked to sections of the app,  presentations and external websites.          2
  4. 4.   Robust Global Search  Search by keyword across all events, places,  people and companies.             Schedule with Advanced Filters  Full schedule of presentations and special entertainment, along with  up-to-the-minute information on StagePass availability for presentations and  multiple filters by category, time, and event type.          3
  5. 5. Personalized Schedule with Reminders  Attendees could build a personalized event schedule and add events, venues and  special guests to their favorites list. In-app alert reminders for favorites allowed  attendees to add them to the calendar on their device.         Maps  Custom maps with different levels of map detail  at various zoom levels.                    4
  6. 6. Integrated Social Media  Social media aggregation with a consolidated view of social media channels using the hashtag #D23EXPO to source content.   Content was also embedded and used for digital displays throughout the convention show floor.                            5
  7. 7. iBeacon Integration  Location-based push notification alerts allowed messages to be sent to attendees as they entered or left the proximity of an iBeacon device.  iBeacons were placed strategically across the show floor providing contextually relevant messages to attendees.                                    6
  8. 8. Feedback Surveys  Embedded surveys were incorporated directly into the app with custom sets of questions for each presentation and an overall survey for the  entire event.                          7
  9. 9.   Branded Web Schedule     An embedded web schedule was provided that allowed attendees to sync their personalized schedules across multiple platforms.      8
