Motorola Xoom (10.1-Inch, 32GB, Wi-Fi)

  1. 1. Motorola Xoom (10.1-Inch, 32GB, Wi-Fi)The Xoom has a reputation of being the best Android tablet for those who are into tweaking andmodifying their tablets. But that doesn’t mean that it is for techies only. The device we got hadthe older Android version (Honeycomb) installed, but the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich was abreeze. Although there were only a few apps pre-installed, with the tablet out of the box one canwatch movies, look at pics, listen to music, and do other basic tasks, plus there’s all theGoogle-specific apps like maps, mail, and so on.Click here to buy Motorola Xoom with free shipping! The device feels big, and solid despite being very slim.Screen is bright if you set it to brighterlevels, and the speakers are superb, with no tinniness in the sound. The camera on the backworks very well also. Xoom charges fast. Showed up about 30% charged, and it was fullycharged in 2 hours. Plug and play works with a PC for file transfers, so we were able to jump mymusic, pics, and some vids over without any serious problems.Technical details: Linux 1 GHz Motorola ARM dual-core CORTEX A9 OMAP 4 1 GB DRAM Android 3.1 (Honeycomb). Upgradeable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Ultra-fast Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g/n) 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2-megapixel front-facing web cam. 1/2
  2. 2. Integrated Google Maps with turn-by-turn navigation, street, satellite, and three-dimensional landscape views. This device ships for free. Click here to purchase! It must be said, Ice Cream Sandwich runs extremely smoothly on Xoom. It is almost as if the OS was made for this device. To sum up, Best Android Tablet thinks that it is user-friendly enough to be recommended to a new user, while satisfying to an old pro as well. A classy, good looking device and great for entertainment. Here are some words from a Xoom owner: When I first got the Xoom about a week ago I turned it on and I really wasn’t blown away. I use lots of devices, and my first impression of the Xoom just wasn’t stellar. However, I could see the potential, and so I kept using it, I got some apps, I started to learn the interface and the depth of the features. Sometime during day 2 of using the Xoom it really hit me. The Xoom and the iPad are like chess and checkers. When you first start playing chess (or trying to use the Xoom, in my amazing analogy) you feel overwhelmed and confused. You can’t really do things smoothly, you don’t understand the options, it just is not a great first impression. On the other hand, your first game of checkers (or using the iPad) is probably going to be pretty smooth. It isn’t complex, most all the options and concepts are obvious and easy to understand and your first game is going to be pretty similar to your hundredth. (Jordan G.
