13. Itineraries in Egypt
Classic Diving places
North + Tiran
The Tiran Islands, hiding a virtual coral
reef forrest on the sea bottom, lie at the
entrance of the Akaba Bay and almost block the
way to the Red Sea.
North Wreck
The Red Sea is famous for its beautiful
wrecks having sunk mainly in World War II. The
visibility and the water temperature make it
possible to spend plenty of time on the wrecks.
South
The South is a beautiful mixture of walls
and shallow areas. Big fish and pelagic species
also can be seen here.
Deep South
To see mantas, sharks and dolphins, do
not hesitate to go deep south. The St John’s
reef gives an opportunity to make several dives
along its amazing walls.
Islands
Brothers
The Brother Islands are located in the
open sea. If you need adventure, do not think
too much!
Dedalus
The islands are not visited by too many
boats as it is far from the coast. If you do not
want to see other boats on your way, try Rocky!
Best Mix
Brothers, Dedalus, Elphinstone are the
best of the Red Sea. Your trip touches almost all
the marine parks in the sea providing for
incredible memories.

14. Umbria wreck
The wreck has a few entrances to cargo holds that are easy to enter. Old trucks, type Fiat
"Lunga" can be found at a depth of 13 meters on the first deck. Some of the other holds
contain empty wine bottles, cables and a lot of bombs, that have been piled up there for
years.
Sha'ab Rumi
Sha'ab Rumi, the reef where Jacques Cousteau carried out his Coneshelf II experiments in
the Sixties. Here, Cousteau's "oceanauts" were practically living at the sea bottom. There is
good opportunity for divers to take photos of sharks as well.
Angarosh
This place is called 'mother of all sharks' for the big school of hammerhead sharks and
barracudas.
Sanganeb
One of the plateaus is characterized by a number of pillars of beautiful hard and soft corals.
Anthias and other small fish hover around these pinnacles and the brightly colored soft
corals wave in the slight current. In between these pinnacles a number of gray reef sharks
are swimming.
Sha’ab Suadi (Blue Bell wreck)
Also called the “Toyota wreck”, this site offers unusual dives with numerous Toyota cars
scattered around the sea bed and the wreck of the Blue Bell cargo ship which sank in the
70s. The boat’s propellers rest at about 90 meters. Corals in amazing colors add to the
experience.
