SAVE MORE THAN MONEY Making your home more energy-efficient can lower your energy bills, improve the comfort of your home and help protect the environment. To help homeowners realize measurable energy savings in their homes, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources has allocated over $7 million for energy efficiency incentives under the Homeowner Upgrades and Geothermal Program. Participating homeowners will be asked to obtain a home energy audit performed by a certified auditor. The auditor will assess the home’s energy use and prepare a report that identifies upgrades to improve energy efficiency. Program participants will receive a rebate of up to $500 for the home energy audit, if they implement the recommended energy efficiency upgrades. Homeowners can then apply for incentives to implement the recommended upgrades, as shown in the table below: 15% ENERGY 25% ENERGY SAVINGS GEOTHERMAL SAVINGS SYSTEMPotential Energy Air Sealing, weather Upgrade heating and Install geothermalEfficiency upgrades stripping, adding cooling equipment system insulationIncentive 50% of eligible costs 70% of eligible costs 50% of eligible costsMaiximum $2,000 $7,000 $10,000Incentive
