Impact Money, time, people, facilities To make pupils feel welcomed at school • Teachers allocate one whole day to celebrate the new students for example; outdoor activities, local traditional games, local dancing ritual etc. • Students will have to dress in their unique local costumes while performing the rituals. Jan 2014 Class teacher Year 4 pupils. To motivate students’ interests in learning • Counsellor will begin the session by giving the talk and some fun activities where the pupils able to relate to their cuItural background • Students will be brought to the nearby city and to explore the city with teachers’ guidance in small group. • The adviser teacher will inculcate the importance of education and how they can change and improve their life. • March 2014 Counsellor and all teachers. RM 150(Student’s foods), 3 days. Commemoratio n of the country’s independence day • Students will have to decorate their classroom using the natural resources that they could find in the jungle • Teacher will later on explain the importance to sustain the peace in the country. August 2014 Class teacher Pupils To open up the mind of natives (pupils and the parents) • Teacher will organise a trip to Genting Highland. • Pupils will have to bring one of their parents or any adults in the family.
