  2. 2. How-To: Export parent-child documents Step 2. Set export options as seen in above image and hit Create PDF.
  3. 3. How-To: Export parent-child documents Parent-child document structure Once the conversion job is complete, a Single PDF file will be created containing a bookmarks view (with parent-child relationship preserved)
  4. 4. How-To: Export parent-child documents Another available alternative is to select Separate PDF files in a folder structure in Step 2, select the destination folder and the naming rule, and start the conversion job.
  5. 5. How-To: Export parent-child documents In this case, the parent-child relationships will be saved by creating a folder on the hard disk for each parent-document. If a child-document has its own responses, those will be placed in a sub-folder.
  6. 6. How-To: Export parent-child documents Note: Parent-child document relationships can also be saved when exporting multiple documents, by selecting the All documents, Individual categories or Individual folders types of PDF export (and checking the Include child responses check-box).
  7. 7. What we have done:  We exported a single document with its childdocuments (responses) to a single PDF file with a bookmarks view and viewed the result.  We exported a single document with its childdocuments (responses) to multiple PDFs on hard disk, with automatic creation of parent-child folders.
