14 Howto Email Notification

  1. 1. How-To: E-mail Notification www.swingsoftware.com This section of the Administration area allows you to select events for which you want to send out notifications. You can also manage e-mail notification lists here and specify which users will be notified of user feedback.

How-To: E-mail Notification www.swingsoftware.com 1) Mark the check-box next to the event for which you want the system to send out notifications. 1) EVENT NOTIFICATION: 2) If you want one or more persons to be notified on enabled events for all document, enter their email addresses here. When finished, click OK to save the changes.

How-To: E-mail Notification www.swingsoftware.com 1) EVENT NOTIFICATION: The event notifications are sent to following users: Document published: Notification is sent to the document owner and optionally to a list of users defined in the Notification lists. Document expired: Notification is sent to the document owner (you can also set how many days in advance the notification needs to be sent) Document regular review due soon: Notification is sent to the document owner. All events: In addition to users mentioned above, additional users can be added that will be notified for all enabled events and all documents.

  8. 8. How-To: E-mail Notification www.swingsoftware.com 3) USERS FEEDBACK: 1) Users feedback is by default forwarded to the document owner . If you wish to forward this feedback to other users as well, enter their e-mail addresses here and click OK.
  9. 9. <ul><li>What we have done: </li></ul><ul><li>We enabled automatic notifications for three DocPublisher events (Document publishing, expiry and review due soon). </li></ul><ul><li>We also added other users that will be notified for all enabled events and all documents </li></ul><ul><li>We set up several notifications lists which the Content Manager can use to automatically notify users when a document has been published </li></ul><ul><li>We routed users feedback to users other than the document owner </li></ul><ul><li>Still to come... </li></ul><ul><li>DocPublisher Customization </li></ul>
