Few Indicies(NDVI... etc) performed on ERDAS software using Model Maker

  1. 1. INDICES (USING MODEL MAKER) By Swetha. A 5WD12CGI15
  2. 2. Run ERDAS  Click on “Modeler” from tools.  Click on “Model Maker”.  New model window will appear. 
  3. 3.  Use the given tool box shown below to draw a model.
  4. 4. NDVI (NORMALISED DIFFERENCE VEGETATION INDEX)
  5. 5.  The model should be build as shown.  NDVI=(B4-B3)/(B4+B3)
  6. 6. $n1_lis2poanta(4) contains the following formula.  Arithmetic functions are used. 
  7. 7.  For n6_memory, n5_memory and n7_memory, “Temporary Raster Only” option is selected.
  8. 8.  Output of NDVI, where vegetation features are highlighted.
  9. 9. NDWI (NORMALISED DIFFERENCE WATER INDEX)
  10. 10.  The model should be build as shown.  NDWI=(B2-B4)/(B2+B4)
