Piping allows you to carry text from one question over to the next depending on the options selected. In this Feature Spotlight, we are showing how to add intermediate and advanced piping into your survey. Piping is available both online and on mobile.

WHENTO USE PIPING •As a follow up to an answer previously selected •To show answers picked within a survey • Carry over open-ended answers for follow-up • Piping text based on selected answers or open- ended texts Piping text can only be carried over to the next immediate page Available online and mobile!   3. 3. INTERMEDIATE PIPING Want to pipe selected answers to multiple pages or move answers further down in the survey? 1. Go to “Edit Survey”,“Logic” and then “Branching” 2.Assign answer options a custom variable number (up to 255 variables) 3. In the Question template, switch out ${piping_text} to ${custom#} to pipe the selected answer anywhere you want it 4.Add Page Break Wednesday, June 11, 14
