German exchange programe

2. • I started from Chennai Airport by 1.50 am on
14/7/14
• I reached Hannover at 8.30 and was received
by my partner Joline Kassner and my Host
Parents.
• I had lunch and took rest.
• In the evening me and my partner went to
the city where we met all the other students
with their partners and also our teachers.

4. These are all the places I visited
in that city
.

6. • First me and my partner went to school.

7. • We all had a warm welcome by the School
Principal Mr. Wirtz.
• Then a group of students played some of their
country music for us

8. • After their welcome I had class with my partner and
also with Abiraami and her partner as our partners
are in same class.
• Their method of teaching and also their classrooms
were so different.
• Then we visited the whole school and then we had
lunch in the school.

10. • Indian, German students along with our
teachers went to meet the Mayor’s
representative.
• The representative welcomed us and also
there were some members from press. They
asked us some questions.
• They took a group photo of us which later got
printed in their newspapers.
• Mayor’s representative offered us
refreshments.

11. • Today me and my partner had 1 hour of
English class in school at the morning.
• Then they asked us to present our
presentation which we done in India.
• First the German students did their
presentation and next we Indian students
presented ours.

12. • After our presentation their teachers asked us
to do posters.
• We must do it in group. My group consists of
me, Joline, Abiraami and Aileen.
• We did it half as the school got over and
returned home.

13. • I went to Steinhuder Meer with my partner
and her parents.
• There I went self-boating which I really
enjoyed.

15. • Today me along with my partner and all
other students and teachers went to a place
called Hartz.
• We visited a forest there first we went to a
high place by cable car and we started
walking from there for 4 km.
• A guide helped us throughout the way and
also explaining us about some trees, soil and
stone over there.

17. • Then we saw a animal called Lynx. There a
person explained us about the lynx food and
their habits.

18. • Then we went to the highest peak and one of
the panoramic views of the forest.

19. • Today we went to Hannover by train.
• There we visited a zoo.
• First two zoo keepers explained us about the
zoo and the measures taken and also about
the lynx which we visited yesterday.
• Visiting the Zoo was a wonderful experience
there we saw a different type of animals like
Polar beer, camel ,much more animals &
birds.

21. • Today we went to a amusement park called Heide park.
• We had lots of fun and enjoyed a lot.
• Then my host parents took me to a place where people drove
a small flight.

22. • After that we went to a place where I saw a huge
statue of Kaiser William a ruler and spend some
time around it.

23. • On this day I went to the Schaumburg knight
castle.
• It was nice to see some ancient building built in
wood.

24. • Then I drove to my partner’s Grandma home.
They had a huge garden with a many variety
of plants and fishes in their garden. It was so
beautiful

25. • The posters are done which we half finished
earlier .
• And the we went to biickeburg castle in
afternoon.
• After visiting a castle we went to the stable,
There we saw a different breeds of horses and
their nourishment requirements.
• Visiting a castle was one of the wonderful
experiences in Germany.

28. • We visited a natural Heritage place who
wants to protect the animals.
• We saw some animals which were preserved
over there.
• The volunteer explained to us about the
animals and also how the forestation is
growing and reducing the catchment area of
river.
• Later we went on a walk through forest to
reach another part of Steinhuder Meer.

30. • Also we saw some bird nest on the way to the
Meer.
• After spending some time in meer we went to
the beach and had some fun for some time.

31. • We went to the Hamburg by bus.
• First we went to a trip around the Harbor by
Ship.
• Then we went around the city saw some
churches.

33. • Today me and my partner together did a bee-
hotel in school for first 3 periods.
• After finishing bee-hotel we attended our classes
and returned home.

34. • Today for first 2 periods we Indian students
practiced our dance.
• Then I had two sport sessions with Joline,
Abiraami and Aileen.
• After our classes me and my partner went to
our home and prepared food for the farewell.
• We performed our dance well and the farewell
party went great.

35. • We were all in our traditional dresses like
half saree, dhoti, pyjama and salwaar.
• We all took a group photo along with the
principal of Wilhelm-Busch Gymnasium.
• We really enjoyed farewell and also we were
sad that we are no longer going to be in
Germany not more than 2 days.

37. • Today I spended time with my host family
and also with some friends of ours at my
fosters home. We had great fun.

38. • Today by 6.30 in morning we arrived at
Hannover for our flight to Frankfurt.

39. • We were all happy that we are going back to
hometown and also so sad for missing our
friends and family we got in Germany.
• By 11.00 am we had flight from Frankfurt to
India. By 12.45 am we reached Chennai.

40. • This is my first and best Exchange program. I
really can’t forget this.
• We really enjoyed but also learned a lot about
their culture, weather and their way of
preserving species etc.
