Skills and Expertise
Organic synthesis. Expertise in designing and executing the multi-step organic synthesis,
dry inert atmosphere reactions like Sonogashira, Heck, Suguki, Stille etc, handeling butyl
lithium and lithium aluminium hydride and also expertise in column chromatography,
Flash chromatography, combyflash chromatography, purification by crystallization,
distillation and chromatographic techniques. I am expertise in photochromic reactions and
can able to separate the photochromic synthons by column chromatography in dark
condition. I can think independently and work accordingly. I can improvise innovative
In my phd life I have been guided 5 project student independently.
In the post doctoral days I have been involved in drug design and drug modification and
check the mechanistic insight of drug molecules. For that purpose I have been accustomed
with many biological experiments like cell imaging. Cell apoptosis, anti bacterial assay etc.
Laboratory techniques. Skillful in working with air and moisture sensitive materials.
Theoretical methods. Gaussian 03 program (DFT).
Characterization techniques. NMR (1D and 2D and their corelation), FT-IR, UV-vis-NIR
spectroscopy, fluorescence, ESI-MS, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), AFM, SEM, ,
HPLC, GPC, Single crystal mounting and auto solving, Differential Light Scattering
