Self healthcare management system based on rfid technology

  1. 1. Self Healthcare Management System based on RFID Technology Health monitoring is crucial for the survival of the ill and fragile in hospitals. An RFID reader is a device that is used to interrogate an RFID tag. The reader has an antenna that emits radio waves; the tag responds by sending back its data. An RFID tag is a microchip combined with an antenna in a compact package; the packaging is structured to allow the RFID tag to be attached to an object to be tracked. "RFID" stands for Radio Frequency Identification. The tag's antenna picks up signals from an RFID reader or scanner and then returns the signal, usually with some additional data (like a unique serial number or other customized information). Existing system: Presently, there is no Self Healthcare monitoring and management system. The method for taking time to hospitals is energy and time consuming. There is only handwriting method of storing data. There is no RFID technology is used in healthcare systems. So, we go to our proposed system. Proposed System: In this paper, we report an exploration of the Self Health Management system. The RFID technology used here to store the data’s of a person. The Weight, BP and Temperature of a person have been stored in the controller based on the database. The RFID tag has to show in the Reader. The reader reads the number from the tag and show the user information in the LCD. Then the user has to take the health measurements which the sensors interfaced with the Microcontroller. The microcontroller receives the signal from the sensors and also shows the status in the LCD.
