The Marketing major is designed to develop the management skills needed for more strategic roles in marketing, focusing on the practical development of marketing strategies, tactics and plans for business opportunities and threats. Alternatively, the IMC major focuses on the strategic integration of the functions of public relations, advertising, promotion, direct marketing, and personal selling to achieve brand equity and increase the effectiveness of promotional communications with target audiences.
