Experience with social media marketingWhen we asked participants to rate theirexperience using social media marketing,about half have less than 1 year of socialmedia marketing experience.More B2B companies have been using socialmedia longer (52.6% reported 1 year ormore) than their B2C counterparts (46.2%indicated 1 year or longer).In 2010, only 31% of marketers were usingsocial media for 1 or more years.   3. 3. Time commitment for social mediamarketingA significant 58% of marketers are using social media for 6 hours or more each weekand 34% for 11 or more hours weekly. Its interesting to note that 15% of marketersspend more than 20 hours each week on social media.Those with more years of social media experience spend more time each weekconducting social media activities. For example, 63% of people with 3 or more yearsof experience spend more than 10 hours a week doing social media activities.
