My Favourites From Drucker -1

 1. 1. MY FAVOURITES FROM DRUCKER-1
 2. 2. Managing oneself

Manage yourself by knowing your strengths ,values and where you do best . Then use feedback analysis by , first ,recording what you expect the results of key actions or decisions to be ,and then nine months or a year later ,comparing the actual results to those expectations

 3. 3. The “Score”in Information Based Organisations

Have a common “score” for your organization that clearly states management’s performance expectations for the enterprise and for each specialist ,and that compares expectations to results

 4. 4. Work

Work is an extension of personality . It is achievement . It is one of the ways in which a person defines himself or herself ,measures his worth and his humanity . Don’t let your self-respect be undermined by being unemployed . Remind yourself that there are other ways to define yourself besides work

 5. 5. Goal and Vision for Work

“All my life as a musician ,I have striven for perfection .It has always eluded me .I surely had an obligation to make one more try ”- Verdi

Strive for perfection in your work knowing that it will always elude you

 6. 6. Civilizing the Society

Only the social sector can create what we now need ,communities for citizens –and specially for the highly educated knowledge workers who increasingly dominate developed societies . One reason for that is that only non-profit organisations can provide the enormous diversity of communities we need –from churches to professional associations ,from organisations taking care of the homeless to health clubs

Reflect on how your favourite non-profits can help create new communities in cities
