  2. 2. imperative<br />Are verbs used to give orders , commands, warning or instruction ,and ( if you use “ please “) to make a request . <br />It is one of the three moods of an English verb <br />( indicative and subjunctive )<br />For example : <br />Give me that tape , please . <br />
  3. 3. To make the imperative , use the infinitive of the verb <br />without (to ) .<br />For example : <br />Come here . <br />Close the door. <br />
  4. 4. To make a negative imperative , put ( do not ) before the verb . <br />For example : <br />Do not go . <br />
  5. 5. You can use the imperative to warn someone of danger.<br />For example :<br />Look out ! <br />
  6. 6. when you give advice using the imperative . <br />For example : <br />Do not eat heavy meals .<br />
  7. 7. You can also use the imperative to make a request ,but you should use a polite word before the verb : <br />For example : <br />Please take a seat . <br />
  8. 8. The imperative sentence does not require a subject ; the pronoun ( you ) is implied . <br />For example : <br />Close the door ! <br />Beat the eggs lightly . <br />
