3. The Lancaster bomber
The Lancaster bomber was made to take the
largest bombs the RAF had in WW2 that was
up to 12,000Ib (5443kg). It had 4 Rolls Royce
engines to power this heavy plane it weighed
72,000Ib and just over 62ft long with a top
speed of 282mph.It cost around £45-50,000
to make and only 7377 was made .
4. The Spitfire
the supermarine spitfire is a British single seat
fighter plane used by the RAF in WW2 .Its first
fight was in march 1939. It cost £20,351 to make
and over 20,000 were made it had a top speed
of 378mph and was just over 21ft long. It was
designed by R.J.Michell.
5. As well as in the air the British army
was fighting on the ground they used

6. The Challenger tank
was made for the British army in WW2 there
were only 200 made. The challenger weighed a
heavy 31.5 tonnes it had a top speed of only
32mph it could carry up to 5 crew.
7. The MK VIII Cromwell
The Cromwell tank, named after the English
Civil war leader Oliver Cromwell it was made in
1944 it was 28 tonnes so had a top speed of
40mph.like the challenger it cared 5 crew unlike
the challenger there was 4016 of these made.
