Education quality must improve

The quality of education in Catholic schools should be improved and be an integral service for humanity for the sake of both the nation and the Church.

This was the assessment of Bishop Dominikus Saku of Atambua who was addressing hundreds of headmasters and teachers at a June 17 seminar entitled Grand Design of Catholic Schools, held in Atambua in East Nusa Tenggara province.

Catholic education should also have Christian characteristics with Jesus Christ as its role model, leading the way to God, and presenting authentic humanity, according to the prelate.

“So there must be a transmission of faith that integrally broadcasts the biblical spirit without any distortion,” he asserted.
