As the creator of successful themed gaming venues
like the famous Bellagio and Mirage casinos in Las
Vegas, Stephen A. Wynn spoke in the summer of
2013 about the planned motif for his latest Macau
venture. The new Wynn Palace, he suggested, will
present guests with an elegant, fantasy floral motif.

Dozens of sumptuous, multilevel flower gardens will
blanket the site, each designed around a different
theme. A lake will greet visitors at the entrance to the
property, while colorful floats will be rotated on the
resort grounds on a monthly basis. To shuttle guests
between the casino hotel and the light-rail station,
the resort will operate a tram, with cars elaborately
designed to resemble dragons.

In addition, a number of exquisite Chinese vases and
tapestries valued at over $13 million were purchased
at auction in London in 2011, specifically for Wynn
Palace. Roger Thomas, executive vice president of
Wynn Design and Development, noted at the time
that the company was honored to bring the historical
art pieces back to China.
