- Several CCTP leaders have been trained in Design Thinking at the Stanford Design school. FIRST ASSUME A BEGINNER’S MINDSET don’t judge, be curious, deep listening Design thinking is integrated into everything the CCTP does to support administrators, teachers, project planning and ultimately students. Empathize is the foundation of the human- centered process, designer observes, engages and immerses into the client’s experience DEFINE – synthesizing the empathy findings, & CRAFTING A compelling problem statement Ideate – idea generation- explore a wide solution space, creating a list of ideas from which to build prototypes. Ideate in order to transition from identifying problems to exploring solutions Prototype is putting solution ideas into physical form prototype to gain empathy to test and refine solutions solve disagreements fail quickly and cheaply TEST refine solutions, test as if you know your wrong, learn more about the client

- The CCTP team has an change management specialists, trained by PROSCI in the ADKAR model. ADKAR in an approach and framework for transitioning individuals and organizations to a desired future state. The ADKAR model can be used to : help you understand why change isn’t happening and individual and organizational levels 1. Diagnose resistance and gaps in change process 2. Help people transition through the change process 3. Create a successful action plan for both individuals and organizations The ISTE audience tends to be the Vocal enthusiastic innovators and back in our districts we are often the individuals managing the organizational change. ADKAR or other change management models can help you succeed.
