A souvenir is an object a person acquires for the memories. The term souvenir brings in mind the mass produced kitsch that is the main commodity of a souvenir around the world. But a souvenir can be a design object.
The project aims to create a collection of textiles souvenirs, “SEWenir”, through 4 steps:
designing a pattern according to a specific theme (doha), printing the pattern using digital or analog tools (the UV printer in the Fab LAb, screen printing, laser cut machine etc..), designing an object, the SEWenir, with the pattern
prototype the object (outfit or accessorize).
