Fensecure case study chainlink security fencing, jersey airport

  1. 1. CASE STUDY - CHAINLINK SECURITY FENCING Steelway Fensecure was approached by a long standing customer who had been invited to tender for the anti-intruder security fencing to Jersey Airport. Working with our partners in Jersey, The Fencing Centre, we had already successfully supplied the fencing for the Fuel Farm and Alpha Taxiway at Jersey Airport and it was our expertise gained from these projects and others including Gibraltar Airport that enabled us to provide a durable fencing system with bespoke crash gates at a competitive cost. Peter at The Fencing Centre had the following to say: “The Fencing Centre won the contract to install 5.5Km of anti-intruder security fencing to BS1722 Part 10 together with associated access, pedestrian and crash gates at Jersey Airport in 2009. Our tender was won against stiff competition based on the materials being manufactured and supplied by Steelway Fensecure Ltd. Throughout the tender process, the lead in time to the contract and installation on site itself, Steelway Fensecure provided a thoroughly professional, friendly and efficient service. The logistics of the contract required the fencing to be manufactured, shipped and delivered in phases. Each phase Steelway Fensecure delivered on time despite late and changing requirements from the client. On the rare occasion where problems occurred, they were resolved without drama or delays. Two years on and despite Jersey Airports’ severe marine environment, the fencing looks in superb condition and we have been left with a very satisfied client.” At Steelway Fensecure we manufacture from our two state of the art production facilities, which are located in Wolverhampton and West Bromwich. Our continued commitment to industry standards, specifications and design procedures, gives our customers the total confidence to continue to request our help in providing standard and engineered fabrication solutions which meet their project requirements, timescales and budgets.
