We had a nice turnout for our September meeting in Willow Grove and are actively recruiting submissions and volunteers for this year'sChapter Competition. Both are highlighted in this month's newsletter. We're also looking forward to next month's meeting by Joe Welinske from WritersUA with a member's choice topic (most popular topic will be presented) and member Theo Landren from A2Z Global will be discussing localizing content and answering member-submitted questions in November. I look forward to seeing many of you at one of our upcoming events and encourage you to submit an entry for our Competition while we're offering substanital discounts for another week (until October 1). We're also looking for volunteers to help organize and coordinate our Annual STC Mid-Atlantic Conference, which will be on Friday, March 9, 2012. If you're interested in helping organize this popular regional event, or have any questions, please send me a note. Todd DeLuca President, STC-PMC Join STC

  3. 3. To see the current schedule of classes, visit: Brookwood The presentation coincided nicely with Jean-luc Doumont’s lecture at Princeton University on September 19 th . Many people would rather face death than speak in front of an audience, but Doumont (with his lively Belgian accent) gave eye-opening insights, ideas, and methods on planning, designing, creating slides, practicing delivery, and answering questions. He also addressed facial and body expressions, vocal modulation, and stress management techniques. His ultimate tip: "Look where you want to go – think of success, not failure." Visit Jean-luc Doumont's site at: Principiae October 2011 Newsletter Publication Schedule The publication day for the newsletter is the last Wednesday of each month with the deadline for content the Wednesday before publication.
